During the epidemic period, Vietnam’s agricultural products exports achieved a bumper harvest

The first half of 2021 has ended. Despite the difficulties caused by many COVID-19, Vietnam’s agricultural and aquatic products exports increased by more than 28% over the same period last year. The whole industry raised the target of annual export volume of up to US $45 billion, compared with the target set by the government for over 3 billion US dollars.

In terms of products, the commodities with sharp increase in export volume include rubber, tea, pepper, cashew nuts, vegetables and fruits, cassava and cassava products, wood and wood products. Among them, the export volume and price of rubber, tea, fruits and vegetables, cashew nuts, cassava and cassava products increased.

In terms of market, Vietnam’s four major import markets of agricultural, forestry and aquatic products are China, the United States, Japan and South Korea, of which China and the United States maintain a good momentum.

In novel coronavirus pneumonia, the director of the planning department of Vietnam’s Ministry of agriculture and rural development said that the Ministry has been promoting the opening of agricultural products to Peru and Australia in order to achieve good results under the new crown pneumonia epidemic. Establish communication channels with Vietnamese embassies and commercial offices to provide information on key export markets such as Japan, South Korea, the United States, the European Union and China.
