Ethiopia pays attention to China’s import of African agricultural products

According to the news from Fona Broadcasting Corporation of Ethiopia on September 7, Wu Peng, director of the Africa Department of the Chinese Ministry of foreign affairs, attended the launching ceremony of the e-commerce promotion season of African products of the Forum on China Africa cooperation and said that China never pursues a trade surplus with Africa, and China hopes to expand the import of agricultural products from Africa through the e-commerce platform.

In addition, in order to cooperate with the China Africa Cooperation forum to be held in Senegal at the end of 2021, China will encourage the export of African agricultural products to China through e-commerce platforms and live broadcasting platforms.

According to the data of China’s Ministry of Commerce, from January to July this year, the trade volume between China and Africa was US $139.1 billion, of which the export volume of Africa to China was US $59.3 billion.
