Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture announces minimum protected price for raw cotton in 2022

Uzbek Detail August 4 news, the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan based on the trend of international market prices and the recommendations of the relevant ministries and commissions, finalized the minimum protected price of raw cotton in 2022, 10.025 million soums/ton (about $920/ton) after tax for medium lint cotton and 15.12 million soums/ton (about $1388/ton) after tax for fine lint cotton. The Ministry of Agriculture stressed that, on the basis of the minimum price, raw cotton producers and buyers can determine their own actual selling price of raw cotton in accordance with the commercial principle of mutually beneficial cooperation.
