China exported nearly 4,000 tons of fresh vegetables and berries to Russia’s Primorsky Territory

China shipped 3,986 tons of fresh vegetables, fruits and berries to Russia’s Primorsky Territory from February 27 to March 5, 2023, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision said in a release.

The agency noted that last week, China shipped 386.6 tons of tomatoes to Primorsky Krai, 50% more than a week ago; pepper imports increased from 133.7 to 147.9 tons, and onion and garlic imports increased from 398.6 to 466.8 tons. Corn cob imports doubled in one week to 1.8 tons.

In addition, last week China exported to Primorsky Krai 1133.5 tons of various fruits and berries, as well as 216.1 tons of eggplant, zucchini, water radish, turnip, yam and ginger, as well as 0.9 tons of beans, 368.4 tons of cucumbers, 50.9 tons of mushrooms, 2.1 tons of sweet potatoes, 652.6 tons of cabbage, 440.4 tons of carrots, 118.5 tons of leafy greens and various green vegetables.
