Sugar beet planting in all countries of the Eurasian Economic Union has been completed

According to the Eurasian Sugar Industry Association, as of June 14 this year, all countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (eaeu) have completed beet planting. According to the soyuzrossakhar report, the total sown area this year was 1.15 million hectares, an increase of 3.1% over last year.

Russia: the sugar beet planting area is 1034600 hectares, an increase of 31100 hectares over last year.

Belarus: the sugar beet planting area is 94900 hectares, an increase of 7700 hectares over last year.

Kyrgyz Republic: the sugar beet planting area is 9000 hectares, a decrease of 0700 hectares compared with last year.

Republic of Kazakhstan: the sugar beet planting area is 11100 hectares, 3400 hectares less than last year.

According to the agronomic service of eaeu national sugar factory, the growth rate of sugar beet plant is at the average level in recent 3 years. Taking into account the weather and other factors affecting sugar beet growth, the sugar beet output of eaeu may increase to 6.7-6.8 million tons in the pressing season of 2022/23, which is the same as the annual consumption level.
