Tanzanian government officials call for faster pace of cotton cultivation

Tanzanian mainstream media “The Guardian” reported on June 23, the governor of Tanzania’s Xinyangga province, Mjima announced at a public meeting on June 20, the Hassan government to increase the income of cotton farmers, significantly increased the guide price of cotton, from the original $ 1,560 per kilogram to $ 1,900-2,000 per kilogram. She said that the current cotton price is very friendly and called on cotton farmers in the region to expand cotton cultivation and accelerate the pace of planting to increase their income. The participants appreciated the new guideline price for cotton and hoped that the government would increase the number of agricultural experts to teach better farming methods to all farmers.
