Thailand to help support rice development in Ghana

Thailand and Ghana will work together to improve the quality of rice through technology and innovation after pledging to support the agricultural industry on both sides. Natthakit Khongthip, Director General of the Thai Rice Authority, and Dr. Pana Tappinthakorn, President of Save the Planet Agricultural Economic Development Association, recently met with Dr. Sicha Singsomboon, Honorary Consul of Ghana.

During their meeting, the three discussed the cooperation in rice cultivation technology that Thailand will provide to Ghana, Dr. Sicha noted that Ghana mainly imports rice, but due to its economic situation, Ghana lacks purchasing power, so this provides an opportunity for Thailand to provide assistance in developing agricultural technology and strengthening relations.
