Vietnamese agricultural products look for opportunities to enter the Japanese market

According to the report of Saigon economic magazine on February 24, more and more Vietnamese agricultural products are sold to Japan, which has become the driving force for Vietnamese enterprises to increase technology investment and develop green agriculture. Japan is a market with high import threshold, especially the import of agricultural products. Vietnam’s pitaya, banana, mango, coconut, litchi and other fruits are opening up the Japanese market. At present, the main consumer groups of Vietnamese fruits in the Japanese market are Japanese local people, people from other Asian countries working and living in Japan and nearly 500000 Vietnamese overseas Chinese living in Japan. In addition to fruits, Vietnamese aquatic products are also welcomed by the Japanese market.

According to the report, according to the free trade agreements such as cptpp and RCEP, Japan has fully opened the market to Vietnamese agricultural products, but the food hygiene and safety standards and technical requirements are still very high, and there are many relevant regulations.
