Vietnam’s vegetable and fruit exports achieved good results in the first half of 2021

In the first half of 2021, Vietnam’s total exports of vegetables and fruits exceeded US $2.063 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17.4%.

In June 2021, Vietnam’s exports of vegetables and fruits exceeded US $356 million, an increase of 38% over the same period last year. In the first half of 2021, the total export volume of fruits and vegetables exceeded US $20.63 trillion, with a year-on-year growth of 17.4%.

On the contrary, in the first half of this year, Vietnam’s imports of vegetables and fruits reached US $686 million, a year-on-year decrease of 16.6%. As a result, the trade surplus of fruits and vegetables in the first half of this year was US $1.3 billion. China, the United States, Japan and South Korea are the four major export markets of fruits and vegetables in Vietnam.
